Racing Incident Report

SAVVY SIX was crowded for room on jumping between SINGAPORE SLING and GOOD OMEN which shifted out.
RIVET began only fairly and then was hampered by PATRIOT HERO which shifted out.
From wide barriers, EXULTANT and DOCTOR GEOFF were steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.
PING HAI STAR was also steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
When being steadied after passing the winning post on the first occasion to obtain cover, RUTHVEN got its head up on a number of occasions.
Also passing the winning post on the first occasion, RATTAN and PATRIOT HERO bumped.
Passing the 1800 Metres, RATTAN got its head up when awkwardly placed behind SINGAPORE SLING.
Passing the 1700 Metres, SINGAPORE SLING was awkwardly placed behind NOTHINGILIKEMORE.
Approaching and passing the 1500 Metres, RIVET got its head up when proving difficult to settle and awkwardly placed close to the heels of RATTAN.
After the 1400 Metres, PATRIOT HERO was left racing wide and without cover and in the Straight finished tailed out. The performance of PATRIOT HERO was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, PATRIOT HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Approaching the 700 Metres, RATTAN was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SINGAPORE SLING.
GOOD OMEN had difficulty obtaining clear running approaching the 300 Metres.
After the race, J Moreira reported that, in his opinion, NOTHINGILIKEMORE did not see out the distance of today’s race. A veterinary inspection of NOTHINGILIKEMORE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious.
A veterinary inspection of ROCKETEER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
EXULTANT, PING HAI STAR and SINGAPORE SLING were sent for sampling.
