Racing Incident Report
SPEEDY CHAMPION missed the start. PROFIT ALL TIMES jumped awkwardly. BABY WAVE SUPREME left the gates badly, shifted in and made contact with TRUSTY STEED. In the early and middle stages, AFICIONADO proved very difficult to settle. In the middle stages, FOR SZESZE hung out. In the run to the winning post, WINNING FOCUS got its head on the side and lay in. S Dye (GRANDSTAND) explained he had been instructed to ride the horse about midfield and near the 1000 Metres when a little awkward inside BABY WAVE SUPREME he elected to steady and take up a position behind that runner. AFICIONADO and WINNING FOCUS were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that TRUSTY STEED was showing signs of having a heart irregularity. Before being allowed to race again, TRUSTY STEED will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and the horse will be subject to an official veterinary examination.
