Racing Incident Report
After all the runners were boxed, D Whyte momentarily stepped off PREFECT. As the gates opened, MUGHAL PALACE dropped its head down, then reared high, Apprentice Y T Cheng was momentarily unbalanced in the saddle and the horse lost a lot of ground. The occurrence was accidental. Before being allowed to race again, MUGHAL PALACE will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial (stalls test). On jumping, FORTUNE DANCER and DOLLARS AND SENSE bumped. Also on leaving the gates, WASABI and DECOUVERT came together. PREFECT was slowly away. Near the 1000 Metres, CHUTZPAH, which was racing awkwardly with its head up, became unbalanced when close to the heels of DOLLARS AND SENSE. PREFECT, which was following, was hampered in consequence. Near the 300 Metres, TAURUS was steadied when PREFECT momentarily shifted in. Throughout the race, DECOUVERT, from a difficult gate, was obliged to travel wide and without any cover. DOLLARS AND SENSE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
