Racing Incident Report

JUMBO LUCK was slowly away. HEALTHY STAR jumped awkwardly with its head up, just after the start was checked when crowded between FLIGHT OF FANCY which shifted in after bumping BEETLE and SUPREME PARTNERS which on leaving the gates shifted out. Just after the start CHAMPION RANGER and BEETLE bumped several times, as a consequence of this BEETLE lost its position. About 1100 Metres out, BEETLE, which was proving difficult to settle, shifted out from behind FLIGHT OF FANCY, as a consequence of this, inconvenience was caused to HEALTHY STAR and obliged it to race wider. In the early part of the Straight GOOD JOB shifted out and bumped SUPREME PARTNERS which just after this was unbalanced when tight between GOOD JOB and FLIGHT OF FANCY. Also in the early part of the Straight CHIEF'S FORTUNE was held up behind POWER HOUSE which was giving ground, then after the 200 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of CHAMPION RANGER which was also giving ground to find running. Near the 300 Metres GOOD JOB was checked to avoid the heels of FLIGHT OF FANCY (Apprentice K C Tsang) which shifted in when being ridden along. Apprentice K C Tsang was severely reprimanded and told in similar circumstances he simply must stop riding and straighten. After the 200 Metres CHAMPION RANGER, which was giving ground, was accidentally struck in the head by the whip of W C Marwing (GOOD JOB). For the greater part of the Straight WINNING TOUCH was unable to obtain clear running. GOOD JOB was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
