Racing Incident Report

BRILLIANT LEADER missed the start slightly, then shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of VICTORY DRUM. Just after this, CRAIG'S PRIDE shifted in slightly and bumped VICTORY DRUM. Turning out of the Straight the first time, VICTORY DRUM and THE ESTABLISHMENT were checked when crowded for room by CRAIG'S PRIDE (K S Yu) which got its head on the side and hung in away from ETERNAL FUN. It was decided not to take any direct action as the horse was clearly wanting to get in and K S Yu was making some effort to avoid the crowding, however, he was told a severe reprimand be recorded against him and in similar circumstances he must make a greater effort to protect his fellow riders. About the 1600 Metres, CRAIG'S PRIDE was steadied when crowded for room between HONG KONG VITALITY and ETERNAL FUN which had a tendency to be pulling and shifted in slightly away from TURBOJET. About the 1000 Metres, VICTORY DRUM, which had a tendency to be pulling, shifted out from behind CHEERS UP, this caused some inconvenience to HIDDEN TALENT. About the 700 Metres, BRILLIANT DELIGHT was unbalanced when momentarily awkward on the heels of HIDDEN TALENT. About the 300 Metres, CRIAG'S PRIDE was steadied when momentarily tight between CHEERS UP and ETERNAL FUN which when weakening shifted out slightly. HONG KONG VITALITY and THE ESTABLISHMENT were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
