Racing Incident Report

CLEAR MASTER left the gates awkwardly and shortly afterwards bumped with REPUTATION which shifted in. EXCELLENCE FOREVER jumped a little awkwardly and just after the start came together with TRY YOUR BEST and as a consequence EXCELLENCE FOREVER became unbalanced. From a difficult gate, BABY WAVE SUPREME was obliged to race wide throughout without any cover, then approaching and rounding the Home Turn hung out. In the early part of the Straight, REPUTATION raced tight inside FOR SZESZE and close to the heels of WINNING SUPREME. REPUTATION was able to obtain running at about the 300 Metres but then did not close the race off. Near the 300 Metres, IRON TYCOON was steadied and shifted out to avoid CHAMPION BOMB which was weakening right out of the race. On pulling up, CHAMPION BOMB put its head up and struck D Dunn in his face. D Dunn dismounted and led CHAMPION BOMB back to scale. The performance of CHAMPION BOMB was considered unacceptable and before the horse can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHAMPION BOMB was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing. S Dye (IRON TYCOON) said in the run to the line the horse in his opinion was well beaten and racing at its top under hands and heels riding. As a consequence he considered it unnecessary to pull the whip.
