Racing Incident Report
On jumping, FERRULE was crowded for room between GOOD NEWS and SIROCCO which was taken in by OPTIC FRIENDLY which on jumping got its head up and shifted in abruptly. HATHLOOL was slowly away. In the early stages, MENDOZA pulled hard and proved very difficult to settle. Also in the early stages, NEVER SAY NEVER pulled hard and on several occasions was unbalanced when close to the heels of DOLBRIDGE. After the 800 Metres, COLOURFUL ERA was steadied to avoid the heels of SIROCCO which shifted to a position beside MENDOZA. After the 400 Metres, TRICCOLO shifted from behind EVER GLORY, in doing so made contact with MENDOZA which was racing tight inside SIROCCO. About 300 Metres out, KIMBO BELL was steadied when momentarily disappointed for running between DOLBRIDGE and HIGH SPIRITS. D Dunn (GOOD NEWS) said after the race he was concerned with the action of the horse in front. GOOD NEWS was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who was unable to find any abnormalities. FERRULE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
