Racing Incident Report

On jumping, TRIUMPHANT MASTER was tightened between ELEPHANT DANCE and GREEN VACATION. Then just after the start when being steadied, TRIUMPHANT MASTER proved difficult to settle and threw its head about. About the 700 Metres, KEEN WINNER was momentarily unbalanced when tight inside GIFT. Rounding the turn and in the early part of the Straight, ELEPHANT DANCE was held up for a run and raced awkwardly when close to the heels of SMILING FOREST and tight inside CELEBRATION. ELEPHANT DANCE was able to obtain running between SMILING FOREST and CELEBRATION at about the 200 Metres. For some distance after the 400 Metres, DIAMOND MOON was held up for running. DIAMOND MOON was able to obtain running just after the 200 Metres when improving between KEEN WINNER and GREEN VACATION and after this closed off quite strongly. About the 200 Metres, SIROCCO was steadied when momentarily tightened between POINT GREY and GIFT which was shifting out in an endeavour to find running and go forward. Also about the 200 Metres, CLASSIC MASTER raced awkwardly between CELEBRATION and HOROSCOPE. In the run to the winning post, ELEPHANT DANCE had a tendency to shift out. An inquiry into the reason for GIFT being severely checked at about the 800 Metres was adjourned until next Wednesday 13 November 2002 at the Sha Tin Racecourse. HOROSCOPE, GIFT, CLASSIC MASTER and ELEPHANT DANCE were sent for sampling.
