Racing Incident Report

PERFECT SPORT was withdrawn on 29.11.02 on veterinary grounds (lame both fore) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter BEARCAT. Before PERFECT SPORT can race again, it will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. Prior to being presented in the Parade Ring, HORACE'S HORSE had its right front plate refitted. On the way to the track, FLYING FAST kicked out and made contact with a rail. After arriving at the Start, FLYING FAST was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion the horse was suitable to race. HORACE'S HORSE jumped very awkwardly, shifted in and bumped STRATEGUS. On leaving the gates, LEUNG'S FAVOURITE threw its head about. DJEREED was slowly away. AMAZING VICTORY, which was restless after being boxed, came from the stalls badly. Before AMAZING VICTORY can race again, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. Over about the last 300 Metres, THE MOST DAUNTLESS hung in. Over the concluding stages, STEP FORWARD raced greenly and shifted a lot of ground. On pulling up, FLYING FAST was reluctant to return to the unsaddling area. Because of this, S K Sit dismounted and led the horse back. SUPREME MOLLY, FORTE and STRATEGUS were sent for sampling.
