Racing Incident Report
WEALTH STAR was difficult to load into its starting stall. The horse was slow to begin, then tailed out. The performance of WEALTH STAR was considered unacceptable. Before the horse will be permitted to race again, it will be required to perform competitively and satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SING AND DRINK was slow to begin. At the 1000 Metres, FORM FIT lost its position when racing tight between AMO and LUCKY PARADISE. At the 800 Metres, SING AND DRINK, which was racing tight inside LUCKY PARADISE, was steadied to avoid the heels of AMO which made the turn awkwardly and steadied away from the heels of KINGSTON WINNER. On straightening, TIRAMISU was steadied and shifted in to avoid the heels of JUST VICTORY which shifted out to avoid TABBRIS which was giving ground. Approaching the 300 Metres, FORM FIT shifted to the outside of WELL EXPRESS to obtain clear running, in doing so caused some inconvenience to TIRAMISU and JUST VICTORY. Also approaching the 300 Metres, SING AND DRINK was severely checked when disappointed for running between LUCKY PARADISE and GOOD PROSPERITY which was giving ground and shifted out slightly. In the circumstances, no action was taken. The performance of TABBRIS, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before TABBRIS can race again, it will be required to perform competitively and satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. S Dye (KINGSTON WINNER) said he had been instructed to ride the horse with cover if possible today. He said KINGSTON WINNER broke the best, showed natural early speed to clear the runners to his inside and therefore he elected to allow the horse to maintain the lead. KINGSTON WINNER and LUCKY PARADISE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted GOOD PROSPERITY had lost its left fore plate.
