Racing Incident Report

SUPREME RABBIT and PEAK POWER were slow to begin. In the early stages, CELLINI proved difficult to settle. For some distance after the 600 Metres, CELLINI endeavoured to shift to the outside of CLEMENT SUPREME to obtain clear running, however, was not able to do so when MULTIWINNING held its ground. Prior to straightening, to obtain clear running, CELLINI was steadied and shifted to the inside of CLEMENT SUPREME which was shifting out. In the early part of the Straight, MINE HOST had difficulty obtaining clear running, after the 400 Metres was steadied when disappointed for running between SURVEYOR and INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS, then after the 300 Metres was again steadied and shifted to the outside of INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS to obtain clear running. Over the concluding stages, CLEMENT SUPREME was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PEAK POWER and therefore was not ridden right to the line as it normally would be. CELLINI, DARWIN and CHEERS HONG KONG were sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, CELLINI was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a small amount of mucus in the horse's trachea which was of doubtful significance. A veterinary examination of DARWIN after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, CHEERS HONG KONG was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse was lame in the right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, CHEERS HONG KONG will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. MINE HOST, INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS and SURVEYOR were sent for sampling.
