Racing Incident Report

FANTASTICO, which was standing badly, began awkwardly and lost ground. On jumping, MULTI RANSOM was bumped by SPEED OF LIGHT which shifted out. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, LUCKY MARAUDING was awkwardly placed inside the heels of HEKYLL N' JYDE. Also making the turn at the 800 Metres, MULTI RANSOM got its head on the side, shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of LUCKY MASTER. After the 700 Metres, WINNING EMPEROR was momentarily steadied away from the heels of HEKYLL N' JYDE. After the 200 Metres, SCINTILLATION got its head on the side and shifted in towards ACE OF PACE. S Dye (HEKYLL N' JYDE) said prior to the race he thought the horse would lead and anticipated FLYING KENNY and SCINTILLATION would go forward with him. He said in the early stages ACE OF PACE which began clearly the best commenced to shift across whilst showing more pace than HEKYLL N' JYDE. He said as he had been instructed to ensure he made his run in the Home Straight away from the fence he allowed ACE OF PACE to cross him, so he was able to remain racing away from the fence. He said making the turn at the 800 Metres HEKYLL N' JYDE commenced to hang out, dipped and was most uncomfortable in today's track conditions. He said after this HEKYLL N' JYDE continued to hang out, failed to close the race off and in his opinion this was solely due to the horse failing to handle today's track conditions. HEKYLL N' JYDE was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. After the race, HEKYLL N' JYDE was examined by the Veterinary Officer. No abnormalities were detected. SCINTILLATION and ACE OF PACE were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted LUCKY MASTER had lost its left front plate.
