Racing Incident Report

SPARKING STAR was slow to begin. HELENE MOMENTUM and EXPECTATIONS bumped at the start. Shortly after this, EXPECTATIONS was crowded for room and bumped with HELENE MOMENTUM when INVERNESS shifted in after being brushed by GALLANT KNIGHT. FAMOUS DANCER began awkwardly. Approaching the 800 Metres, SPARKLING STAR was checked severely when crowded for room inside MY CHOICE which itself was checked to avoid the heels of NOBLE HERO and DANHERO. At this time DANHERO was reluctant to hold its position and NOBLE HERO, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up and was steadied back away from the heels of SWISS LAD. When SPARKLING STAR checked, HELENE MOMENTUM was checked in consequence. The occurrence in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FIFTY FIFTY, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up and shifted out away from the heels of GALLANT KNIGHT. At the 700 Metres, MY CHOICE was steadied when momentarily awkwardly placed inside the heels of DANHERO. At the 600 Metres, FAMOUS DANCER was steadied away from the heels of FIFTY FIFTY. After the 400 Metres, MY CHOICE was checked when unable to obtain clear running between INVERNESS and ARABIAN WAGER. At the 100 Metres, FAMOUS DANCER was checked when crowded for room between MY CHOICE and EXPECTATIONS, both of which shifted ground. In the Straight, JOLLY GOOD FORTUNE hung out and proved difficult to ride. ARABIAN WAGER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ARABIAN WAGER after the race did not show any significant findings. SWISS LAD and FIFTY FIFTY were sent for sampling.
