Racing Incident Report

BRILLIANT FLASH began awkwardly, shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of DILIGENT. STRONG SUN was slow to begin. In the early stages, SMART CHAMPION proved very difficult to settle and on a number of occasions got its head up. At the 1100 Metres, KROVANH was steadied away from the heels of DANSKE VERY MUCH. In the middle stages, DANSKE VERY MUCH hung out. Prior to straightening, SMART CHAMPION was steadied when crowded for room between FAVOURITE EXPRESS and WINNING CAT which shifted to the outside of ALL THE BEST into clear running. Near the 300 Metres, KROVANH was steadied and shifted in after being disappointed for running between AHEAD A HEAD and DANSKE VERY MUCH which got its head on the side and shifted out. When KROVANH shifted to the inside of DANSKE VERY MUCH, some inconvenience was caused to STRONG SUN which as a result was steadied and shifted out. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, SMART CHAMPION had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 100 Metres, THOUSAND WINS, which was making ground, was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of WINNING CAT. Over the concluding stages, STRONG SUN improved into a narrow run between AHEAD A HEAD and DANSKE VERY MUCH. Also over the concluding stages, SANBENITO hung in. KROVANH, SANBENITO and DILIGENT were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported SMART CHAMPION had bled from both nostrils.
