Racing Incident Report
SEA TREASURE was difficult to load. Before being allowed to race again, SEA TREASURE will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. AMERICAN VICTORY and ZABEEL VICTORY were slow to begin. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, UNIVERSAL PIONEER got its head on the side and hung in away from BEVERLY DREAM. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, FRIENDS FOREVER, which was racing ungenerously, was not able to maintain its position between AMERICAN VICTORY and FORTUNE WARRIOR. Near the 700 Metres, FORTUNE WARRIOR was checked when crowded for room between THOUSAND WINS and AMERICAN VICTORY which at this time got its head on the side and shifted out away from the heels of SIMPLY THE BEST despite the efforts of its rider. In this incident, THOUSAND WINS became unbalanced and MAIN ATTRACTION was hampered. The occurrence in the opinion of the Stewards was accidental. At the 200 Metres, AMERICAN VICTORY was checked when endeavouring to improve inside SIMPLY THE BEST where there was insufficient room. Near the 100 Metres, AMERICAN VICTORY was steadied and shifted to the outside of UNIVERSAL PIONEER to continue going forward, then just prior to the winning post bumped UNIVERSAL PIONEER when being shifted in to improve towards the inside of LIVERBIRD. Over the concluding stages, SEA TREASURE raced ungenerously and hung out. Y T Cheng (MAIN ATTRACTION) was fined $3,000 for improper use of the whip in that he had raised marks on the horse's left flank. SUPER SPRINT was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SUPER SPRINT after the race did not show any significant findings. BEVERLY DREAM and FORTUNE WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
