Racing Incident Report
CITY GLORY began awkwardly, got its head up, became unbalanced and lost ground. LUCKY ENCOUNTER and FREE WAY were slow to begin. MYTHIC STEED was a little slow to begin and then lost further ground when crowded for room between MILLENNIUM SUPREME and KING OF TURBOT which on jumping got its head up and shifted out. In the early and middle stages, FAT DRAGON did not settle. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, FORTUNE GOLD and FREE WAY were steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GOT IT GOOD (O Doleuze) which at this time was being steadied to shift to a position behind FAT DRAGON. O Doleuze was told to exercise more care. At the 700 Metres, LUCKY ENCOUNTER became unbalanced when close to the heels of FORTUNE GOLD. After the 700 Metres, FORTUNE GOLD, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head on the side and shifted out. For some distance after the 400 Metres, FREE WAY was held up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of HORACE'S HORSE and KING OF TURBOT which at this time were giving ground. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, FRIENDS FOREVER had difficulty obtaining clear running between MAGNIFICENT and DOLPHIN STAR. To obtain clear running, FRIENDS FOREVER was shifted to the inside of DOLPHIN STAR near the 200 Metres. Near the 200 Metres, FORTUNE GOLD was momentarily steadied away from the heels of MAGNIFICENT which shifted out. For the major part of the race, KING OF TURBOT raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. SPEED WINNER was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SPEED WINNER after the race did not show any significant findings. MAGNIFICENT, GOT IT GOOD and FAT DRAGON were sent for sampling.
