Racing Incident Report

CONSTELLATION and CITY GLORY were slow to begin. FORTUNE MAPLE began awkwardly. On jumping, MURCIELAGO became unbalanced after being bumped by WONDERFUL BOY which shifted in. GOOD TO GREAT began awkwardly and shifted out. After the 800 Metres, PLEASURE PLEASURE was momentarily steadied away from the heels of PERFECT SCORE which shifted in when barely clear. Also after the 800 Metres, WONDERFUL BOY was left racing wide without cover. From shortly after straightening until after the 200 Metres, MURCIELAGO had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 300 Metres, CITY GLORY and FREE WAY were momentarily steadied when crowded for room between MURCIELAGO and FORTUNE MAPLE, both of which shifted ground. Near the 100 Metres, ZABEEL VICTORY, which was closing the race off fairly, was steadied when disappointed for running inside CITY GLORY which was carried in by FREE WAY which at this time after being steadied was shifted in to avoid the heels of CONSTELLATION which was giving ground. Just prior to the finish, PERFECT SCORE was steadied when awkwardly placed between ABLE MARS and WONDERFUL BOY. In the Straight, THE FACULTY hung in and proved difficult to ride. Throughout the race, METRO LEADER hung out. FORTUNE MAPLE and CONSTELLATION were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FORTUNE MAPLE and CONSTELLATION after the race did not show any significant findings. WONDERFUL BOY, GOOD TO GREAT and PLEASURE PLEASURE were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported PLEASURE PLEASURE had sustained abrasions to the left hind leg.
