Racing Incident Report
When being saddled, it was noted WYNDAM PLENTY had sustained an abrasion to the left hock. WYNDAM PLENTY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. BUDDIES SPIRIT, which was restless in the stall, began awkwardly and lost ground. BRILLIANT WIN began awkwardly, got its head up, shifted out and bumped WISDOM EXPRESS. Shortly after this, WISDOM EXPRESS was steadied when crowded for room between BRILLIANT WIN and FLASH MAC. Shortly after the start, RARE COLLECTION was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of CLANG'S PRIDE. Near the 1100 Metres, WISDOM EXPRESS was steadied away from the heels of BRILLIANT WIN. Near the 700 Metres, FLASH MAC was steadied away from the heels of FORTUNE MAPLE which shifted across to race outside HORACE'S HORSE as that horse shifted to the fence. BRILLIANT WIN made the Home Turn awkwardly. Near the 250 Metres, WITHALLMYHEART was hit behind the saddle by the whip of C Soumillon (HORACE'S HORSE) which at this time shifted in abruptly. For some distance after the 250 Metres, GOOD FRIENDS raced tight outside CLANG'S PRIDE which when giving ground hung out. A Delpech (WYNDAM PLENTY) reported on jumping his saddle shifted backwards and as a result he was placed at a disadvantage in riding it out. WITHALLMYHEART and HORACE'S HORSE were sent for sampling.
