Racing Incident Report
FEEL-SO-GOOD was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, REAL SURPRISE and LORD CAIRNS were steadied when crowded for room between SUPER BALL and PERSEVERANCE which shifted out. Near the 1200 Metres, LORD CAIRNS was steadied when crowded for room between REAL SURPRISE and RICH FOR ALL which shifted in slightly. No action was taken. After beginning well, OPERA MAGIC was allowed to drift back with a view to finding cover, however, proved difficult to settle and when continuing to race wide and without cover was allowed to stride forward after the 1000 Metres. After the 1000 Metres, MAGNIFICENT HORSE proved difficult to settle. Throughout the race, QUICK NEWS travelled wide and without cover and making the Home Turn was carried wider by MIRACLE DRAGON. After the 400 Metres, ZEONIC FRONTIER became unbalanced after being bumped by REAL SURPRISE which at this time was shifted out into clear running to avoid the heels of OPERA MAGIC which commenced to give ground. Also after the 400 Metres, LORD CAIRNS, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, bumped the running rail and was steadied when racing close to the heels of BOREAS and tight inside PERSEVERANCE which shifted in momentarily. No action was taken. At the 50 Metres, ZEONIC FRONTIER, which was giving ground, was steadied when awkwardly placed between the heels of MAGNIFICENT HORSE and RICH FOR ALL, both of which shifted ground. Over the final 200 Metres, PERSEVERANCE hung out. PERSEVERANCE, REAL SURPRISE and RED WINE SUPREME were sent for sampling.
