Racing Incident Report

WAIT FOR ME began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of NOBLE ZOOM. SEVENS HEAVEN began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped HARRY HARRY. After the 1400 Metres, WAIT FOR ME was steadied away from the heels of EAST OCEAN DRAGON. In the early stages, ENTERTAINING was taken across behind runners. For the major part of the race, LORD CAIRNS travelled wide and without cover and in the early stages proved difficult to settle, then in the Straight gave ground. At the 1000 Metres, MASTER ABLE, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up. When the pace steadied after the 800 Metres, MASTER ABLE and WAIT FOR ME improved close to the heels of runners in front. WAIT FOR ME was then checked to avoid the heels of EAST OCEAN DRAGON and shifted out abruptly, causing MASTER ABLE to be severely hampered and carried out onto FOREVER WIN which was hampered and carried wider. ENTERTAINING and GRABBIT, which were following, were also inconvenienced and carried wider. For some distance in the early part of the Straight, NOBLE ZOOM had difficulty obtaining clear running and at the 300 Metres was shifted to the outside of LORD CAIRNS. At the 200 Metres, EAST OCEAN DRAGON was momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed inside SIMPLY THE BEST which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, GRABBIT, which was closing the race off fairly, had difficulty obtaining clear running between LORD CAIRNS which was giving ground and NOBLE ZOOM. At the 100 Metres, HARRY HARRY, which was shifting in, was bumped by EYE WITNESS which at this time shifted out. Over the concluding stages, EYE WITNESS hung out. Also over the concluding stages, GRABBIT had difficulty obtaining clear running between SEVENS HEAVEN and NOBLE ZOOM. SEVENS HEAVEN was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of SEVENS HEAVEN after the race did not show any significant findings. EYE WITNESS, JADE DRAGONFLY and TERRAFERMA were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported MASTER ABLE had lost the left front plate.
