Racing Incident Report

DENDRANTHEMA LOVE was slow into stride and then lost further ground when being steadied away from the heels of BRAVE COMMANDER. SUPER LUCK began awkwardly and then made contact with GOOD TRIO. BRAVE COMMANDER began awkwardly and was slow to muster speed. After the 1200 Metres, STAR PRODIGY was steadied when awkwardly placed inside the heels of GOOD TRIO. At the 700 Metres, STAR PRODIGY and SUPER LUCK were steadied to avoid the heels of GOOD TRIO which lost its footing and became unbalanced. Throughout the race, SIMPLY THE BEST travelled wide and without cover. Apprentice H W Lai (FAT DRAGON) was advised against excessively looking at the diamond vision screen during the concluding stages. M W Leung (SIMPLY THE BEST) said shortly after straightening his mount became unbalanced and dipped. He said after this he did not ride SIMPLY THE BEST out as the horse had not been handling today's track conditions. Apprentice K T Yeung (GOOD TRIO) said after the horse lost its footing at the 700 Metres, he was concerned with its action and therefore did not ride his mount out. GOOD TRIO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, GOOD TRIO was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said there were no significant findings except the horse had lost its right front plate. BRAVE COMMANDER, FAT DRAGON and PAY-DAY were sent for sampling.
