Racing Incident Report
NOBLE CONQUEROR and SYDNEY EXPRESS began awkwardly and lost ground. From the outside barrier, MOVE IT was taken across behind runners. Despite being ridden along in the early stages, ADD THE FUN failed to muster speed. Near the 1500 Metres, FAT DRAGON, which was being hard ridden to make up ground was bumped by KING OF FISH. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, NOBLE CONQUEROR was steadied when crowded for room inside DON RICARDO which was racing tight inside TRIUMPH which in turn was racing tight inside FAT DRAGON which was also racing tight inside KING OF FISH which had its head on the side and was carried in by HEALTHY WEALTHY (A Starke). VICTORY TURBO, which was following, was steadied in consequence. A Starke was advised to exercise greater care. Passing the 500 Metres, MOVE IT and SYDNEY EXPRESS bumped. Near the 250 Metres, ADD THE FUN was steadied away from the heels of HEALTHY WEALTHY which was hampered and carried out by KING OF FISH which at this time was shifted out away from VICTORY TURBO which was having difficulty obtaining clear running between that horse and FAT DRAGON. An inquiry into the reason for DON RICARDO and NOBLE CONQUEROR being severely hampered near the 200 Metres was adjourned to a date to be fixed. SYDNEY EXPRESS, which was following, was hampered in consequence. At the 150 Metres, Y T Cheng (TRIUMPH) dropped his whip. In the Straight, MOVE IT hung in. Throughout the race, KING OF FISH travelled wide and without cover. ADD THE FUN and FAT DRAGON were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ADD THE FUN and FAT DRAGON after the race did not show any significant findings. NOBLE CONQUEROR and TRIUMPH were sent for sampling.
