Racing Incident Report
SPARKLING was withdrawn prior to Race 1 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left front foot). Before being allowed to race again, SPARKLING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. GREAT SHOW and EN MASSE bumped at the start. BLEDISLOE was slow to begin. LOTUS LOVE travelled wide and without cover until after the 800 Metres. In the Straight, MAGNANIMOUS got its head on the side and lay in. A veterinary inspection of MY WAY after the race did not show any significant findings. VILASOL and HOME WITH GLORY were sent for sampling.
<26/5/2011 Additional Veterinary Report> The Veterinary Officer advised the Stewards that Mr C W Chang, the trainer of BRILLIANT CHARIOT, reported to him this morning that the horse was lame in its left front foot. Before being allowed to race again, BRILLIANT CHARIOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
