Racing Incident Report
MOON CHASER was withdrawn on 7.6.11 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, MOON CHASER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. YUAN’S FORTUNE was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded for room between ROMANCING TAMAR and SURE FORWARD which shifted out after being bumped by VIVA GUY which itself was crowded for room between that horse and CARS KING PRAWN which shifted out. Approaching the 400 Metres, VIVA GUY raced in restricted room inside CARS KING PRAWN which got its head on the side and shifted in slightly. Near the 150 Metres, SURE FORWARD was steadied away from the heels of EPATANT which shifted out. Near the 100 Metres, VIVA GUY was struck across the nose by the whip of Y T Cheng (BILLION). Throughout the race, ROMANCING TAMAR travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of CARS KING PRAWN after the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse had lost its left front plate. YUAN’S FORTUNE and SUPER GENKI were sent for sampling.
