Racing Incident Report

LUCKY YOUNG ONES was withdrawn on 27.1.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (swollen right fore tendon). Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY YOUNG ONES will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. WINNING PAL, FIERY PATROL and TOP DRAGON were slow to begin. At the 850 Metres, CHANCELLOR was taken in to a position three wide and without cover by ALL THE WINNERS which shifted to the outside of URBAN DANCER when that horse was steadied in the lead. Approaching the 700 Metres, DYNAMIC CROSS raced in restricted room between LORD DRAGON and TWIN TURBO which shifted out. At the entrance to the Straight, DYNAMIC CROSS was momentarily crowded for room between NOTUS and GOOD HONG KONG which shifted out. Both SHANGHAI PIONEER and GOOD HONG KONG had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight. Near the 100 Metres, LORD DRAGON got its head on the side and shifted in away from NOTUS, resulting in CHANCELLOR being bumped and becoming unbalanced. In the Straight, TOP DRAGON got its head on the side and lay in, resulting in Apprentice K C Ng, its rider, changing his whip into his right hand near the 100 Metres. After the race, it was noted that there was blood at the left nostril of ALL THE WINNERS. ALL THE WINNERS was unable to be scoped even after having been sedated. Acting on a report from the Veterinary Officer, ALL THE WINNERS was not deemed to have bled. GOOD HONG KONG, NOTUS and LORD DRAGON were sent for sampling.
