Racing Incident Report

On arrival at the barriers, it was noted that HAPPY SCORE had blood present at its mouth, however, was passed suitable to race. A veterinary inspection of HAPPY SCORE after the race revealed it to have sustained a cut to the tongue. HAPPY SCORE began awkwardly. TOM’S EIGHTH was slow to begin. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, EASY GOLD was crowded for room inside COMPACT YARN (T Clark) which shifted in. T Clark was reprimanded and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. After the 200 Metres, TOM’S EIGHTH was shifted to the inside of the heels of SUPER BRAND which was giving ground. Throughout the race, HO WONGCHOY travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of TOP DRAGON after the race did not show any significant findings. PEGASUS SUPREME and FORTUNE BRAVO were sent for sampling.
<13/9/2012 Additional Veterinary Report> TOP DRAGON, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. TOP DRAGON was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer Y S Tsui this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. Before being allowed to race again, TOP DRAGON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
