Racing Incident Report

GLORY OF INDIA was slow to begin.
From wide barriers, SECRETARY OF STATE and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Shortly after the start, HEI HEI POSH and TELECOM SUPREMO bumped.
Near the 1600 Metres, SECRETARY OF STATE was inconvenienced when racing tight inside INDUSTRIAL LEGEND which itself was racing tight inside EASY GOLD after improving inside that horse.
Approaching the 1200 Metres, INDUSTRIAL LEGEND raced tight between EASY GOLD and GOLDMEN Y Y which shifted out after being awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAPPY SCORE which itself was proving difficult to settle and being steadied away from the heels of HO WONGCHOY. In this incident, GOLDMEN Y Y struck the heels of HAPPY SCORE and blundered. GLORY OF INDIA, which was following, was hampered in consequence.
SECRETARY OF STATE was held up for clear running rounding the Home Turn.
In the early part of the Straight, GLORY OF INDIA got its head on the side and hung in.
Near the 50 Metres, GOLDMEN Y Y got its head on the side, shifted out and inconvenienced TELECOM SUPREMO.
Throughout the race, EASY GOLD travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
A veterinary inspection of EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND after the race did not show any significant findings. The performances of EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND, both of which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, EASY GOLD and INDUSTRIAL LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HEI HEI POSH and COMPACT YARN were sent for sampling.
<27/9/2012 Additional Veterinary Report> INDUSTRIAL LEGEND, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. INDUSTRIAL LEGEND was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C H Yip this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, INDUSTRIAL LEGEND will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
