Racing Incident Report

From a wide barrier, CHINA DELIGHT was taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages, DANESOUTH failed to muster speed. For the majority of the race, DANESOUTH then travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.
In the early stages, HAIR BEAUTY travelled wide and without cover and after the 1200 Metres was allowed to stride into a more forward position closer to the rail.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, DANESOUTH shifted out away from SABINA when travelling close to the heels of that horse.
At the 500 Metres, GOLDMEN Y Y was steadied away from the heels of CHINA DELIGHT which itself was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MAKE A FORTUNE.
Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, MAKE A FORTUNE had difficulty obtaining clear running and near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of PERFECT TEN after being disappointed for running between that horse and SABINA. Then over the concluding stages, MAKE A FORTUNE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of LUCKY CHEVALIER and because of this was not able to be fully tested in the run to the line.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that MAKE A FORTUNE had lost its left front plate.
A veterinary inspection of GOLDMEN Y Y and DANESOUTH immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
GOOD LOOKING WATCH and LUCKY CHEVALIER were sent for sampling.
<15/4/2013 Additional Veterinary Report> The Clinical Veterinary Surgeon reported that MAKE A FORTUNE was found to be swollen in its left front tendon on the morning after racing. Before being allowed to race again, MAKE A FORTUNE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
