Racing Incident Report
Shortly after the start, TRUMP, which was being steadied to obtain a position with cover, was crowded for room between BEAUTY CONNECTION and DIAMOND MASTER which shifted out.
Shortly after the start, TIMELY ARRIVED shifted out and bumped TRAVEL COMFORTS.
From the outside barrier, ELITE SPIRIT was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Making the turn near the 600 Metres, OCEAN ROAR became unbalanced after being momentarily crowded for room inside BEAUTY CONNECTION which shifted in marginally. DIAMOND MASTER, which was following BEAUTY CONNECTION, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence.
Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, TRUMP raced in restricted room inside THOR THE GREATEST.
Passing the 200 Metres, THOR THE GREATEST was momentarily awkwardly placed close to the heels of OUR HERO.
Passing the 100 Metres, TRAVEL COMFORTS was bumped by MR RIGHT which got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
TRUMP had some difficulty obtaining clear running after the 100 Metres.
Throughout the race, TRAVEL COMFORTS travelled wide and without cover.
A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND MASTER immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm and also an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, DIAMOND MASTER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
BEAUTY CONNECTION, MOMENT OF POWER and TRUMP were sent for sampling.
