Racing Incident Report
GOOD BEAUTY began only fairly and then was crowded for room on jumping between SUPER WISE and SPEED VISION which shifted out.
CALLING THE SHOTS shifted out at the start, resulting in ALL BEST FRIENDS and KEY WITNESS being hampered.
SUN TOUCH began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped SPIRIT.
ATTENTION and WINSTON’S LAD bumped at the start.
After the 1000 Metres, CALLING THE SHOTS was bumped by KEY WITNESS.
Approaching the 900 Metres, SUN TOUCH was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SPEED VISION.
After the 800 Metres, GOOD BEAUTY was left racing wide and without cover.
At the entrance to the Straight, GOOD BEAUTY was brushed by WINSTON’S LAD which shifted out.
Near the 150 Metres, SUPER WISE was steadied when crowded for room between ATTENTION (C Schofield) which shifted in and SUN TOUCH which was taken out by DARING FIT (K Teetan) which, after improving into clear running between SUN TOUCH and SPEED VISION, got its head on the side and lay out. As the Stewards were satisfied that the movement from both ATTENTION and DARING FIT had contributed to this incident, C Schofield and K Teetan were advised to ensure that they make every effort to prevent their mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.
After the race, C Murray reported that CALLING THE SHOTS did not feel comfortable in its action. A veterinary inspection of CALLING THE SHOTS immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, CALLING THE SHOTS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of SUPER WISE and SPEED VISION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
WINSTON’S LAD and DARING FIT were sent for sampling.
