Racing Incident Report
RED WARRIOR, which was standing awkwardly in the barriers, was removed from the stalls and reloaded to allow the horse the opportunity to stand better in the stalls as the start was effected.
HARMONY VICTORY began only fairly.
RED WARRIOR and RIGHT CHOICE bumped at the start.
ENCOURAGING began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped COBY BOY, resulting in ENCOURAGING becoming unbalanced. Then despite being aggressively ridden for some distance in the early stages, ENCOURAGING failed to muster speed and consequently raced further back in the field than had been the case in recent starts.
DOCTOR GEOFF shifted in at the start and inconvenienced SICHUAN DAR.
From the outside barrier, FIGHT HERO was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners. The performance of FIGHT HERO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FIGHT HERO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Passing the 1300 Metres, TIME TO CELEBRATE was left racing wide and without cover.
Approaching the 700 Metres, BEAUTY SPIRIT raced tight inside TIME TO CELEBRATE when awkwardly placed close to the heels of RIGHT CHOICE.
Approaching the 600 Metres, HARMONY VICTORY travelled keenly and was awkwardly placed behind RED WARRIOR.
DOCTOR GEOFF lay in under pressure in the early part of the Straight.
Near the 350 Metres, COBY BOY raced tight inside LITTERATEUR which shifted in when commencing to give ground.
After initially being taken out by RED WARRIOR, SICHUAN DAR was steadied and shifted to the outside of HARMONY VICTORY passing the 200 Metres when that horse shifted in.
Approaching the 100 Metres, RED WARRIOR was momentarily inconvenienced when racing in restricted room between DOCTOR GEOFF which shifted out marginally and HARMONY VICTORY which raced with its head on the side and lay in.
ENCOURAGING had difficulty obtaining clear running after the 100 Metres.
A veterinary inspection of ENCOURAGING and LITTERATEUR immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
KA YING STAR and HARMONY VICTORY were sent for sampling.
