1 6 CALIFORNIA MOXIE (J131) Leaving the 700 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from FIGHTING MACHINE and made contact with METAL KING. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 2 GLORIOUS JOURNEY (J137) Jumped only fairly and shortly after the start was steadied when crowded between MADE FOR LIFE and SMART CITY, both of which shifted ground. Held up for clear running on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
3 10 SUPERB GUY (K323) Jumped only fairly.
4 4 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) In the early stages raced keenly and near the 1200 Metres got its head up. Leaving the 150 Metres shifted in, resulting in its rider M Guyon having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
5 1 TOP TIME (K006) Held up on the Home Turn. Sent for sampling post-race.
6 9 ICONICAL (J504) No report.
7 5 MADE FOR LIFE (L005) On jumping bumped with UP WITH CHARM and shortly after shifted in and made contact with GLORIOUS JOURNEY.
8 12 METAL KING (K135) Raced ungenerously when being shifted across behind runners from a wide barrier in the early stages. Made a forward move from the 800 Metres and as a consequence raced wide and without cover for the remainder of the event. Leaving the 700 Metres was bumped by CALIFORNIA MOXIE which shifted out. Leaving the 100 Metres raced tight between FIGHTING MACHINE and MADE FOR LIFE which shifted out.
9 7 UP WITH CHARM (K139) Bumped at the start. K C Leung reported that the instructions were to obtain a forward position but not necessarily lead. He said when the early and middle stages of the race were run outside of standard time, this resulted in UP WITH CHARM leading the event.
10 8 SMART CITY (J213) Near the 1300 Metres was steadied to avoid MADE FOR LIFE (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not clear. B Avdulla was reprimanded. Near the 150 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between METAL KING and MADE FOR LIFE which, after shifting to the outside of ICONICAL, was then taken out slightly by that runner. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
11 11 HAPPY ACTION (K399) Leaving the 200 Metres shifted in abruptly away from SUPERB GUY, resulting in its rider M L Yeung having to stop riding and straighten his mount. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
12 3 COLOURFUL KNIGHT (K366) Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
