Rider stated that his mount was disadvantaged by having to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and also being heavily bumped near the 450M. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 245.

8 J115  DRACO  26/11/2025   209  DRACO (J115) on jumping was checked when crowded. Rider could offer no excuse for the horse’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. Trainer advised that he had been pleased with the horse’s work and the horse may not have quickened as anticipated due to the application of a hood. He added that rider had recommended the horse be stepped up in distance for its next race start. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 209.
9 J269  DRAGON SUNRISE  10/12/2025   245  DRAGON SUNRISE (J269) bumped at the start. Approaching the 1400M made contact with a runner. Near the 450M became awkwardly placed. A short distance later was then checked to avoid a runner when attempting to improve to that runner’s outside, resulting in the horse shifting out and making contact with another runner - Race 245.
10 H326  GANGNAM STAR  09/11/2025   160  GANGNAM STAR (H326) jumped awkwardly and made contact with the right side of its starting gate. Prior to declaring weighed-in the Stewards considered if there were sufficient grounds for a protest/objection against either the eventual winner being declared the winner or 2nd placegetter being declared the 2nd placegetter after both horses shifted ground near the finish of the event. When the Stewards were satisfied that the crowding to the horse did not occur until passing the winning post they declined to lodge a protest/objection and weighed-in was declared on the numbers semaphored by the Judge - Race 160.

Following the race was found that horse to be a “roarer” which had previously been reported. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 229.

1 J379  COSMO LIGHT  17/12/2025   264  COSMO LIGHT (J379) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Approaching the 1600M, when racing keenly, shifted out when being steadied. Raced wide and without cover from the 900M after commencing a forward move from that point. Trainer confirmed that he had instructed rider to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages from the outside barrier as the horse had been racing in a disappointing manner when being ridden in a forward position. He added that he had given rider the option of making a mid-race move if circumstances permitted. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 264.
