3 2 GUTS (BM052) K H Ting -- One of the best away going forward to lead on 1st turn, taken on but held rail, 2nd ridden along from 650 M, 2Ls in arrears turning in, whip 300 M, kept battling.
4 5 HOUSE HONOUR (BH183) D Holland -- Began fairly then eased behind early pace, 4th inside 4Ls away at 1000 M, ridden along from Rock and still 4Ls back straightening, taken to outside could not quicken.

6 3 VIRTUS PRIDE (BN004) F Coetzee -- Slowly away then bumped soon after, 8th slightly checked 1st turn, inside 5Ls off front at 800 M, held up at 600 M ridden along from 500 M, whip at 200 M had no more to give.

9 4 SUPER SWIFT (BN088) C W Choi -- Began awkwardly then bumped passing winning post the first time, 6th one-wide and 5Ls from lead at 900 M, ridden along at 700 M, cornered wide and struggled down the running.
10 9 ALWAYS WEALTHY (BM087) W H Tse -- Slowly away then hard ridden rushing forward to contest lead on outside, under pressure at 800 M and dropped out rapidly.
