3 1 GREEN DIAMOND (CA317) D Whyte -- Soon race about 2-wide and 2Ls behind leader. Settled in prominent position on fence from 600M to home straight. Kept on well and missed 2nd place by narrow margin.
4 6 LIFELINE EXPRESS (CA228) C Williams -- Jumped fairly, unable to muster speed to keep up and soon raced near rear. Reminded 900M out but no improvement. In last place and 8Ls behind leader prior to straightening. Ran on strongly and made up good ground in the straight.
5 10 DANHERO (CA337) G Schofield -- Broke well and was niggled along to maintain position on fence at midfield throughout backstraight. 2-wide and 2Ls down turning in. Kept on without threatening.
6 7 DASHING CHAMPION (CC015) K C Tsang SR Stumbled at the start and was pushed along to be 3-wide and 2Ls behind pace at 1000M. Niggled along from 2-wide position just behind pace after 800M. 3-wide turning in. One-paced final 200M.
7 3 SAINTLY PARTNERS (BV292) S Dye -- Eased back shortly after start to race at rear until home straight. In last place about 8Ls down upon straightening. Made up some ground final stages.
8 9 AMBITIOUS LEADER (CC082) K S Yu -- From wide gate was ridden along to be 3-wide and 5Ls behind pace near 1000M. Niggled along to be running behind midfield throughout back straight. On fence and about 5Ls down turning in. One-paced to line.
9 12 SANBENITO (CC256) M Walker -- Broke fairly and soon raced 2-wide near midfield about 5Ls behind pace. Remained in similar position in back straight. Ridden to improve from 4-wide position turning in. Every chance 250M out, unable to keep momentum thereafter.
10 5 PAOBRIDGE (CB073) P H Lo B Broke well and was ridden for disputed lead 2-wide until 700M out. Remained 1L behind pace rounding home turn. Weakened final 200M.
