4 3 NORTHERNER (CD293) G Mosse -- Slow to begin, settled in 3rd last position on rails 10Ls away from leader, not asked in middle stages, moved 2 wide from 800 M, came between horses with good run in straight, doing best work late.
5 5 RICE FIELD (CE134) E Saint-Martin TT Jumped with them, restrained from awkward alley to obtain cover, raced 3 wide midfield 6 to 8Ls away, had cover and tracked nicely to turn, stuck to task well in straight. Unable to get closer with fast last sections.
6 1 LEILATI (CE089) R Fradd TT Average to begin, niggled along to hold spot 4 back on fence 4 to 5Ls from speed, enjoyed soft run through middle stages, travelled strongly to turn, made run through pack in straight making some late ground.
7 2 LOTZATOW (CD397) O Doleuze V Fairly away, drifted back to 5th from rear worse than midfield, raced 2 wide 9Ls away through mid section, came 3 wide from 500 M, tried hard but gave away too great a start. Doing best work late.
8 13 CLASSIC DELIGHT (CD372) S Dye BO2/TT- Slowly into stride, taken back to race at rear of field 12Ls from leaders, lobbed along at tail throughout, switched wide in straight in search for better ground, closed race off fairly.
9 11 SOPRANO (CE177) Y T Cheng B/TT Average to begin, showed no early speed to settle worse than midfield 7 to 8Ls off lead, followed rails through mid section, near to last to turn, stuck to paint in straight but only battled away.
10 8 RED PEPPER (CA196) A Delpech -- Broke well, immediately restrained from wide alley to take up spot at tail of field, raced 3 wide throughout, had field in front entering straight, switched to outside rail but only plugged home.
11 14 AMBITIOUS TYCOON (CB157) C Brown -- Broke with them, held midfield position 2 wide with cover 4 to 5Ls off speed, enjoyed good trip throughout, under pressure entering straight, one paced when asked for final effort.
12 12 COURAGEOUSHEART (CD202) B Prebble B Away well, showed good early dash to take up spot outside leader, enjoyed good run with average pace in mid section, pushed along to chase leader entering straight, couldn't match them and weakened right out last 200 M.
13 4 EQUATOR KID (CC134) H W Lai -- Even break, raced in midfield position 5Ls away, 3 wide with cover throughout, made 4 wide run on turn, one paced in straight, bumped at 250 M but was a spent force at that point.
14 7 LUCKY SIXER (CC103) C W Wong -- Showed good early speed to challenge for early lead, raced behind leader throughout on bit, under pressure entering straight, checked when giving ground in straight.
