2 RUSSIAN PEARL (CE019) G Mosse TT Away with field, restrained from awkward alley to take up rearward spot 2 wide 8 to 9Ls away, travelled well and tracked nicely into race, 4 wide with cover eased out at 250 M and showed great turn of foot to overhaul them.
6 BEST GIFT (CD296) D Whyte TT Slow to begin, niggled along early, settled 7 to 8Ls away 2 wide worse than midfield, travelled strongly throughout, made 4 wide run into race on turn, challenged strongly at 250 M and showed good fight holding off all but winner.
4 THE DUKE (CB282) S Dye -- Average to begin, ridden along to take closer charge, settled midfield 6Ls away with cover, had reasonable run mid race covering ground, in traffic entering straight and battled strongly just lacking dash to beat first two.
7 DAVE'S BEST (CC060) C Soumillon -- Broke with them, taken back to 2nd last from wide gate to race 12Ls off lead, lobbed along at tail throughout, came 5 wide on turn and angled to outside rail in straight, showed good dash but couldn't make up ground.
12 HELENE PILLAGING (CC084) A Delpech TT Best into stride, crossed to lead from wide alley to take up running, rolled along in front at fair clip, travelled on bit to turn, fought on strongly when headed at 300 M and just lacked extra gear to figure.
10 PERFECT PARTNER (CD163) O Doleuze TT Bounced out well from wide alley, not enough speed to cross, posted 3 deep without cover 3 to 4Ls off them, moved forward to be 1/2L from lead on straightening and hit lead at 300 M. Fought strongly but workload took toll.
14 WEALTHY (CD164) R Fradd SR Average to begin, beaten for early speed, drifted back to 5th from rear on rails 7 to 8Ls away, had soft trip throughout middle stages, angled wider entering straight and made steady ground down middle of track.
1 BULLISH LUCK (CC155) F Coetzee B Slow to begin, beaten for early speed and allowed to relax at tail of field many lengths away, easy run mid section, trailed field into straight and made up some late ground without threatening winner. Set too great a task.
5 TIBER (CD155) E Saint-Martin TT Fast into stride, rolled on from outside draw to hold spot outside leader (fair speed), eased in for trail at 600 M, followed paint into stretch, received dream opening in straight but couldn't capitalise.
3 SUPER KID (CC305) G Schofield -- Average to jump from inside draw, settled midfield on rails 5Ls away from speed, had run of race in middle stages, tracked nicely to turn, angled wider but held up badly in straight. Unable to make impression when clear.
13 FOKINE (CE072) C Brown TT Standard to jump, ridden up to hold midfield position 4 to 5Ls behind speed, travelled well in mid section angled 3 wide on straightening, lacked turn of foot to match it with this class.
11 SATURN (CD154) S Sanders H-/TT2 Average to begin, driven up to hold midfield spot 2 wide 6Ls from front runners, struggling from 600 M, hard ridden entering straight, stuck to rails and made little impression in stretch.
9 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) C Munce -- Jumped well, showed good early speed to match it with leading division, raced 1 out 1 back in mid section before sitting outside leader approaching turn, moved up to challenge in straight but couldn't go with them last 200 M.
8 GREEN TREASURE (CD225) Y T Cheng -- Broke well, took up position on rails behind leader, travelled well 1L away throughout, angled 2 wide from 600 M, under pressure entering straight, showed no turn of foot and only battled to line. (Mucopus.)
