8 SANZIRO (CE208) B Prebble TT Jumped with them, soon dropped back to near rear, raced 2-wide 5Ls away between horses, travelled strongly without a clear run on turn, eased clear at 200 M and showed great pickup to sprint over the top of them for strong win.
10 FLYING SPRINTER (CD021) H K Yim B Fast into stride, pressed forward to challenge for early lead, raced outside leader with no cover, kept working at leader's girth to turn, tried hard in fight for finish but overhauled near line.
3 LIBERAL'S KNIGHT (CE272) D Whyte -- Broke well, settled in closer position 3Ls away on rails, enjoyed easy run thereafter using nothing to turn, eased into clear 2Ls away on turning, closed race off well to secure 3rd placing.
11 GROOM RAIDER (CD329) C W Wong -- Out with them, driven hard to muster speed and cross to lead, kept them rolling at solid clip in mid-section, held 1L advantage turning and kicked strongly in straight. Tired late but did well to make the frame.
5 CHEERFUL MASTER (CE309) G Mosse B/TT1 Broke fairly, allowed to drift back to tail, raced 6-7Ls away on rails, still had field in front on turning, followed rails in straight and made up good deal of ground late to be on heels of placegetters. Better effort.
1 OUR JET (CD128) H W Lai B/TT Fastest into stride, taken straight to rails and took sit behind leader after 100 M, enjoyed easy time in mid-section, pushed along on turning, kept on at even pace to be close at finish without threatening winner.
6 ENGINEERING WONDER (CB300) E Saint-Martin -- Average to jump, lacked early speed and settled just off midfield on rails, used nothing in run, travelled well to turn, under pressure and made steady ground before being badly held up late. Not fully tested.
7 FANTASY (CB187) K L Chui -- Broke with rest, caught wide early when unable to go forward and cross to closer spot, taken back to race at rear after 300 M, raced 2-wide 6-7Ls away, well back on turn, closed race off evenly passing some tired runners late.
12 LUCKY UNICORN (CE222) F Coetzee TT Awkward to begin, lost further ground when bumped, revved up to drive through into prominent spot, raced 1 out 1 back in mid-section, hung at 600 M, under pressure on straightening, unable to find and kept on at same pace to line.
2 EVERY TIME (CD314) A Delpech SR Average to jump, niggled along to hold midfield position, raced 2-wide 3-4Ls away in middle stages, pushed along on turning, lacked another gear when asked and was one-paced over last 200 M. (Lost plate.)
9 STRONG GAIN (CE317) O Doleuze -- Broke with them, outpaced early, caught 3-wide without cover in midfield, always working 3-4Ls away, under hard riding and made no impression when asked. Had hard run but didn't seen comfortable at valley.
4 ALWAYS GREEN (CG189) Y T Cheng -- Began fairly, lacked needed speed to contest early lead, caught 3 and 4-wide without cover thereafter, always working to turn, well back entering straight and unable to make any ground thereafter.
