2 7 SUPER MUSIC (CG248) A Delpech -- Away well, allowed to go forward and hold leaders back, had run of race on rails 3Ls away, gained dream run on turning to drive to lead at 300 M, kept on strongly but no match for winner last 200 M. (Raced greenly.)
3 3 EXCELLENT BOY (CE238) S Dye -- Only fair to begin, unable to match them early, raced worse than midfield on rails 5 to 6Ls away, followed rails into straight (bumping rail on turning), made up significant ground late to secure 3rd place.
4 4 SAND DANCE (CD022) D Whyte B Jumped with field, unable to slot in from awkward alley, forced to cover ground 3 wide 5 to 6Ls away, always working to turn, closed race off well widest in straight to be closest at finish.
5 5 HONOUR SUPREME (CB393) W M Lai P-/V2 Began fairly, drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 2 wide 5 to 6Ls away, not aksed in mid-section, made run between horses on turning, angled clear at 250 M, closed off well without threatening winner. Better effort.
6 12 SERIOUS PLAY (CC003) H W Lai -- Average to begin and bumped early, raced at tail 8 to 9Ls away on rails, not asked to turn, followed rails into straight, finished race off best late finding distance far too short.
7 9 GANBARIA (CE052) W C Marwing B Away well, pressed forward to take up prominent spot 1 out 1 back 3Ls away, always niggled in mid-section, responded well on turning, moved up to threaten briefly at 250 M but couldn't go on with it late.
8 1 HARMONY (CE277) K L Chui TT Only average to begin, kicked up to take closer order, raced in midfield 5 to 6Ls away 3 wide without cover, always working to turn, struggling on straightening, kept giving to 200 M but weakened after hard run.
9 10 WINE WIN (CG018) Y T Cheng B Fast into stride, went on with job to race outside leader applied pressure in mid-section using plenty to turn, shared lead early in straight, still there until 250 M but workload took toll and weakened last bit.
10 6 OURAJA (CG214) B Prebble -- Slow to begin, settled down at rear of field, raced 2 wide 8 to 9Ls away, not asked but never really travelling at rear of field, hung in early in straight, closed race off fairly once balanced.
11 2 MULTI-WIN SPIRIT (CG137) D Dunn TT Broke with field from widest alley, restrained to rearward position 3 wide 8 to 9Ls away, covered ground with trail throughout, still had field to beat on turn, did little in straight, plugging away to line.
12 11 KEEN FLYER (CB330) M W Leung B/TT Fastest into stride, held lead after 200 M, pressured throughout and rolled along at a solid clip, hard ridden to hold advantage on turning, spent force at 250 M point, checked late but already weakening.
