9 MASTER YING (CB249) K S Yu B Began fastest from outside alley, showed speed to cross to sit outside leader, raced at leader's girth throughout, had fair run to turn with even speed, challenged leader all of straight, hit lead at 100 M and overhauled late.
3 WIKI WIKI (CD205) D Whyte -- OK to leave gates, ridden up to take closer order, posted 3 wide in midfield (with cover) 5Ls away, tracked nicely and swung 4 wide into straight, closed race off well making good ground down outside.
4 KEEN FLYER (CB330) K T Yeung TT Broke nicely and showed good early dash to take early lead, kept them rolling at an even clip, held 1/2L on turning, battled hard for most of straight but run ended at the 100 M.
10 FAST TRACK (CB375) F Coetzee B Average to leave gates, settled worse than midfield ridden along, raced 2 wide 6 to 7Ls away, well back and hard ridden on turn, made run between horses in straight, closed race off well giving too great a start.
8 DOUCAI (CC255) E Saint-Martin B Broke with rest, showed enough dash to hold prominent spot, raced 1 out 1 back with run of race to turn, 2Ls down on straightening, had bumping duel with winner at 300 M, closed off only fairly thereafter. Rider knocked off late.
5 THE ELEGANT GREY (CG126) P H Lo -- Began awkwardly, rider unbalanced and lost considerable ground, chased hard to settle at rear on rails 6 to 7Ls away, kept making ground to be 3 to 4Ls down on turn, still giving to 200 M but fitness gave out last bit.
1 HONOUR SUPREME (CB393) B Prebble V-/P2 Out with rest, settled just off midfield 3 wide 6Ls away, had cover but always working in mid-section, well back with job to do on turn, made up some ground until checked at 200 M. Never really likely. (Lame morning after.)
