7 THUNDER FLASH (CG270) B Prebble -- Began well, drove through on rails to be behind leader early, checked and shifted back to 3Ls down on fence, travelled well on bit on turn, eased into gap in straight, took time to pick up but closed hard last 100 M to score.
6 DRAGON HORSE (CB131) O Doleuze V Broke with them, pressed on to be amongst them 3-wide early, eventually worked across to sit outside the leader, at leaders girth on turn, took control in straight, held them until last 50 M. Solid effort.
8 OKEYDOKEY (CD190) K L Chui B Fast into stride, pushed on to take prominent role 1 out 1 back, raced 2-3Ls away with good run throughout, swung 3-wide to challenge into straight, kept chasing right to line to take 3rd.
3 DARE TO WIN (CG099) C W Wong B- Began awkwardly, drifted back to near rear on rails, raced 5Ls away, received check at mid-point, still well back on turn, followed rails in straight, made good ground before being held up at 100 M. Should have been closer.
1 VICTORY WARRIOR (CA338) P H Lo CP Quick to leave gates, worked hard to get across from outside alley, eventually worked to lead at mid-point, kept rolling to turn, headed into straight, fought on and stuck to task well given amount of work in run.
11 HAPPY HEROES (CD261) M W Leung B Average to jump, couldn't go the early pace, soon became detached, 8Ls off leaders at mid-point, last turning in, made run between runners making significant ground late. Trip obviously too short.
5 GRASS HOPPER (CD050) C K Tong B/TT Jumped with them, lacked usual speed but mustered enough to cross to rails, raced behind leader from mid-point, received check when pace slowed, began to struggle to pick up on turn, lacked extra gear and was one-paced to line.
4 SIR OCTAVIUS (CB427) W M Lai V Began with rest, didn't show enough dash to cross, camped off speed in midfield 2-wide 3Ls away, hampered at 600 M, under pressure in traffic on turn, swung wide into clear in straight but only finished off at same pace.
2 VITAL PATROL (CC335) D Nikolic -- Slow to begin, settled down at tail, raced on rail 6Ls off them, well back but travelling well on turn, stuck to rails and closed off nicely before being steadied late. Not ridden out last bit.
10 PROFIT HILL (CE274) D Whyte CP-/B1 Average to break, ridden up to hold midfield spot on rails 3Ls away, received severe check at 600 M and lost ground, 2-wide and switched out to middle on turning, unable to make an impression in straight.
12 RACING SPIRIT (CE105) K W Tsui B/TT Broke with field, unable to keep with them and posted 3-wide in midfield, raced 3Ls away with cover, hampered at 600 M, pressed on with wide run on turn, was one-paced in run home.
9 FUNTRAP (CE243) A Delpech B Unbalanced early, took time to get going and drifted back to worse than midfield, raced 2 and 3-wide 5Ls away, angled wide on bend, made no impact down outside in straight.
