5 ABLE ONE (CG108) C Soumillon -- Began with them, assumed a more forward role than last start up 3 wide near leaders, had no cover from midpoint but helped by slow pace, challenged from 1L down on bend, went to them easily at 200 M and held a decent break to line.
9 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) A Delpech -- Average break, took up expected position sharing tail, raced 6Ls back in 2 wide line, angled 3 wide with trail on bend and not assisted by slow pace, last turning and made many lengths down outside but gave too much start.
8 JIANG JUN (CE281) D Whyte XB Reasonable getaway, posted 4 wide in midfield 3 to 4Ls back, always working but not harmed by slow tempo, closed to be 2Ls down turning, stuck to task well but run ended at 200 M when workload took its toll.
11 FULL OF JOY (CG293) A Starke -- Well enough to begin, settled in midfield 3 to 4Ls back in 2 wide line, had a cosy trip but copped some mild interference to bend, trailed strongly and briefly threatened when gap emerged at 300 M. Onepaced.
6 BULLISH CASH (CH049) G Mosse TT Bounced out, held leaders back early but tended to overrace 1 to 2Ls back on rails, had an easy time to turn, run opened but didn't quicken, got going again late but in some restricted room. One paced all the same.
4 FUJI SUNRISE (CD100) E Saint-Martin -- Fairly away, took a trail behind midfield 3 wide 5Ls back, not helped by pace but improved on bend with 4 wide track into race, steadily improved in straight to be nearest on line. Still looking for further.
14 LUCKY CHAMPION (CD178) K W Tsui -- First to hit ground, took up front running role and made a steady pace throughout, shaded on bend and held a 1L advantage turning, kicked briefly but headed at 300 M and just fought on at same speed in finish.
2 IMPERIAL APPLAUSE (CG209) B Prebble -- Amongst them to leave boxes, settled in midfield but overraced early, still 4 to 5Ls off them with a 3 wide trail on bend, in traffic turning but didn't show usual finish when gap appeared and made little headway late.
3 LOTZATOW (CD397) O Doleuze B2 Average to begin, assumed role behind midfield on rails 4Ls off pace, not suited by tempo, still on fence and held up on turning, saw little daylight and held up behind them, not tested late.
1 CHEEKY (CA266) C K Tong -- Ordinary break, took up expected spot sharing tail, on rails throughout 6 to 7Ls from front runners, came 2 wide on bend and switched out turning in, held up for most of straight but lacked an extra gear when clear last 200 M.
7 EQUATOR KID (CC134) Y T Cheng -- Better than usual beginning, up amongst them 3 wide early and went on to sit outside leaders girth and closer than expected applying pressure to bend, 1L down on turning but workload took toll and gave in tamely last 300 M.
13 WATCH WHAT HAPPENS (CH145) W M Lai -- Restrained from outset, in rearward division 6Ls back on rails, didn't really settle in mid-section, still well back to bend, didn't find much room in straight especially at 200 M, race was over when clear. Not really tested.
12 SUPER PEGASUS (CH141) D Nikolic -- Began nicely, raced outside leader early before restraining for coveted 1 out 1 back trail, had run of race to bend, found little when sprint went on at 400 M and stopped quickly last 200 M to be well beaten.
