12 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) A Delpech -- Slowly out as usual, settled at rear 3Ls off field, helped by fast tempo, still at rear 8Ls back passing rock, well down and took inside runs turning in, switched to middle and made many lengths last 200 M to score deserved win.
4 AWARD (CE111) B Prebble TT Average jump, ended up near rear as expected, helped by tempo, raced 2 wide 6Ls away in mid-section, took off on bend, came with strong run 4 wide into straight, hit front and looked the winner before collared late.
6 SOLAR POWER (CE047) M Nunes TT Away with them, pressed forward but avoided speed battle and camped in 1 out 1 back spot 2Ls back, relaxed well just off speed in mid-section, close enough when switching out turning, couldn't match first two last 150 M.
8 LE ROSSIGNOL (CG196) F Coetzee CP Shared speed from outset, ridden hard to look for front, used plenty to take over in back straight, kept going at a reasonable tempo, 1/2L clear on turning, couldn't dash again at 150 M but held on creditably to make frame.
9 CLASSIC REUNION (CH166) D Nikolic B- Out only fairly, allowed to drift back to settle behind midfield, had a suitable trip in running line 5 to 6Ls away, back in traffic on turning, clear at 150 M but steadied again at 150 M, closed evenly with impeded passage.
1 CRYSTAL (CE209) Y T Cheng B Showed enough to be up there early, tried to restrain but ended up 3 wide (with cover) 3Ls back, covered ground to bend, came 4 wide into straight, didn't have a dash but kept on steadily holding ground to line.
3 ADD THE FUN (CD308) C W Wong B Broke nicely, in front leaving straight, eventually surrended lead after pressured, behind the leader thereafter, saved ground on inside to bend, kept to rails in straight but lacked another gear, one paced.
11 BRILLIANT ONE (CG212) K T Yeung B/TT Began well, restrained out of early fight, behind midfield 2 wide 6Ls back throughout, switched to rails but still gave a start on bend (steadied 600 M) didn't get a crack when in from 200 M and only clear when all over.
5 PRESENT TREASURE (CC077) E Saint-Martin P1/H1/TT Moderate jump and crowded early, drifted back towards rear, raced 2 wide 6Ls away at rear, came 3 wide with a trail at 1000 M, hung when making a 4 wide run on bend, just battled away down outside in straight.
2 KOWLOON FIT (CE247) D Whyte -- Standard break, went forward but unable to lead after being 4 wide early, pressured at mid-point and kept working to bend 1/2L down on turning, weakened when workload took toll last 150 M.
10 HAPPY CRUSADER (CE080) H W Lai V/TT Out with rest, had enough dash to hold a prominent spot 3Ls back on rails, took a breather on fence in mid-section after early turn, had chance when close enough turning in, never quickened and just battled late.
7 LIAOBUQI (CE018) C K Tong H/TT Away in line, pushed on from outside alley, worked hard for first half being 4 wide, eventually 3 wide without cover challenging 1L back, under a lot of pressure on bend and dropped right out in straight after tough trip.
