4 7 GENERAL KINGY (CB039) E Saint-Martin B Raced on the fence at midfield. 2Ls down turning for home. Steadied and switched out to avoid slow traffic 250 M out. Kept on fairly for the remaining trip before checking near the line.
5 12 DAYLIGHT EXPRESS (CH036) C W Wong TT1 Missed the jump and raced along the rails behind midfield. Crowded twice making the turn and was 4Ls down on straightening. Ran on same pace in the straight.
6 2 MARVELLOUS (CH026) D Whyte B/TT Raced 3-wide at midfield. 3Ls off the lead turning for home. Kept on only fairly in the straight.
7 4 LUCKY TYCOON (CH318) O Doleuze -- Off slowly from widest draw and allowed to drift back. Raced at the rear and swung out wide on straightening. Closed the race off with a strong rally.
8 10 SUNNY GOLF (CH138) D Beadman XB/H/TT Eased back to race behind midfield in a 3-wide spot. Ran on steadily in the straight.
9 3 DEERFIELD (CG038) C K Tong B 2-wide and no worse than midfield. Within 3Ls of leader turning for home. Kept on briefly in the early part of the straight. Unable to find more and faded final 100 M.
10 11 NAPA (CE271) H W Lai B- Hard pressed from the start to be in a forward spot. On the rails behind the leader 600 M. Assumed the lead when leader hung out at home turn. Weakened and swamped final 200 M.
11 1 GAUCHO (CE033) F Coetzee TT Raced 3-wide in the lead. Headed 600 M but remained outside the leader. Carried out when leader hung out and took a wide turn home. Near the back on straightening and only ran past a beaten runner.
12 9 MOUNT SURPLUS (CH122) Z Purton -- Niggled along to be in a forward spot. Took over the lead at 600 M but hung out badly at the home turn and never recovered from that.
