4 NOBLE CONQUEROR (CG169) B Prebble -- Ordinary jump but ridden hard to take closer order, assumed more prominent role outside leader, had a good trip with easy tempo, joined leader turning, mid-point at 200 M and held on strongly sustaining late challenge.
9 CONGRATS (CG298) D Whyte -- Slow into stride, drove through into midfield to race 4Ls back on rails, had a soft run in mid-section, unable to improve on bend when tired horse came back, kept to inside, only picked up last 200 M flying late to just miss.
11 CARRIZO CREEK (CE132) M Nunes PC-/B2 Standard getaway, raced 5Ls back in running line, not helped by steady sectionals at top end, improved on circle to middle and closed off soundly late to snatch a place.
6 DISGUISE (CG004) K Shea B Moderate jump, ridden up and held 1 out 2 back spot, had nice run of race 3Ls back, suited by tempo, in mid-section, ridden along to improve on circle, kept coming in straight and did enough to make frame.
3 WINNING REWARD (CE254) H W Lai B Bounced out with them, took up a position in front of midfield, had a quiet trip on rails, forced to angle off to avoid tiring horse leaving bend, made even ground in stretch to finish a close up 5th.
5 CALIFORNIAMOUNTAIN (CG310) K L Chui TT Fastest into stride, took lead easily, controlled tempo and dictated terms to throughout, wound up from Rock when challenge, fought strongly and right there to 100 M when run ended.
2 SOUNDS BEST (CE255) Z Purton TT Began with more purpose, took a closer position, had run of race 1 out 1 back thereafter, helped by slow tempo, caught a little flat footed when they dashed, 3rd on turning but effort petered out at 100 M.
7 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) G Mosse V/XB/TT Bounced out, took a close up spot on leaders back, no excuses in run with steady pace on, urged along when speed increased on bend, found little from turn weakening rather easily.
8 ANKH MORPORK (CH306) G Boss XB Seasonable break, drifted back to race beyond midfield 6 to 7Ls back on rails, spent little in mid-section, kept to inside on turning but unable to threaten just battling in straight.
12 FIVE GRAINS (CB280) S K Sit -- No pace from outset, ended up 2-wide 9 or so lengths off pace, harmed by tempo in middle stage, lobbed along at tail to bend, made an effort to improve but only passed tired runner late.
10 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) M W Leung B No early pace, restrained to slot in at tail 9Ls back on rails, not helped by leisurely pace up front, gave too big a start turning in but made little headway all the same.
1 GOOD NATURE (CE153) S Dye B2 Moderate beginning, soon back with lat few, raced 5Ls back in running line, well back on circle and not helped by dash home, made no impact in straight (see racing incidents - jockey not happy with action.)
