5 REGENCY DRAGON (CH001) A Delpech B/TT Fast out, only elected to trail leader, had ideal run on leaders back when pace slackened, tracked well on bend, eased into clear at 250 M, applied acid test at 200 M and went on to score comfortably.
8 WEI HAI INVINCIBLE (CH258) K Shea SR/TT Away nicely, pushed on to race outside leader, had fair trip with steady mid-section, applied pressure and took control at 300 M, kept on but couldn't sustain late challenge.
1 IMPERIAL APPLAUSE (CG209) B Prebble B1 No pace and dropped to rear slowly after start, raced 5 or so lengths away, not aided when pace showed in between horses on bend, made ground before steadied at 300 M, closed hard late when balanced up again.
7 JACKPOT DELIGHT (CJ101) S Dye -- Standard jump and drifted to tail, back with last few 7Ls back in 2-wide line, not helped by standard sectionals 800 M to 400 M, well back turning, made good ground down centre from impossible spot to be nearest on line.
14 WINNING FELLOWSHIP (CG146) Y T Cheng B/TT Ok jump, pressed on but unable to slot in, raced 3-wide 1 to 2Ls back without cover, assisted when paced slowed, lacked a dash in straight but held ground behind first few last 200 M.
3 BULLISH CASH (CH049) S K Sit TT Some early speed but ended up 3 to 4Ls back on rails, enjoyed a quiet trip throughout, saved ground on fence on bend, in traffic for most of straight and was not properly tested.
11 GRAND CRU (CG265) M Nunes V Ordinary beginning, regathered to race 3-wide behind midfield 6Ls away, covered ground in run but had cover, still had job to do on bend, made good progress to 200 M before run ended.
12 THISTLE KING (CE231) H W Lai -- Bounced out, took up 1 out 1 back spot, ideally placed in run, helped by tempo and 2Ls down to bend, close enough on turning but lacked an extra gear and disappointing in finish.
4 CHEERFUL MASTER (CE309) G Mosse B/TT Began in line, ended up 3-wide 4Ls back with cover, did share of work circle on track, kept closing on turning and looked a brief hope but only managed to hold ground last 300 M, run ended 100 M.
10 FAT CHOY FOREVER (CD111) M W Leung -- Showed usual speed, crossed to lead using plenty from a wide alley, dictated on circle, held a narrow advantage on bend, but soon overhauled and weakened tamely thereafter.
13 OPERATION SECRET (CH081) F Coetzee -- Out with them, posted no better than 4-wide from an outside alley, did in tough without cover, tried to improve on bend but couldn't make progress, hard run took toll and only battled in straight.
9 FASHFIELD (CH307) C K Tong -- Standard jump, back behind midfield racing 3-wide with cover 7Ls or so away, steadied at 800 M, back between horses on bend, found little in run to line.
6 STRONG GAIN (CE317) Z Purton -- No pace from outset, ended up 3-wide at rear, overraced and didn't help chance by hanging, some 8Ls back on bend, no real impression in straight.
2 VIVA HONG KONG (CJ097) D Beadman -- Slow into stride, raced 7Ls back on fence, not asked in mid-section, kept to rails saving ground on turning, made no headway in straight. (Irregular heart beat.)
