2 7 KIMBO KID (CC379) K L Chui TT Displayed usual pace, unable to lead with fast early pace however camped 2Ls back with ideal trail, saved ground on rails on bend, angled clear on turning, went to them quickly at 250 M. No match for winner late.
3 4 WHATABOB (CD213) D Beadman B/TT Away fairly, took a spot on rails 4Ls from lead, had a desirable run in mid-section with pace on, improved on fence turning, held up slightly at 300 M, shifted in and closed well last furlong.
4 1 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT (CD250) B Prebble TT Began awkwardly, ended up 4Ls away in midfield, suited by tempo in middle stages, same margin back turning, kept on soundly in stretch closing to make frame late.
5 2 TOP HONOR (CE183) G Mosse -- Reasonable jump, unable to get close to rails from an awkward draw, raced 3 wide with cover 4-5Ls back. Continued to cover ground on circle, finished off well in straight making gradual progress to be nearest on line.
6 10 ROCKET WIN (CE249) W M Lai P/XB Standard jump, drifted back to race 3 wide in rear division 6 to 7Ls back, aided by reasonable tempo, angled 4 wide on straightening, did best work late making good ground in straight.
7 12 CALIFORNIA BISHOP (CD351) S K Sit TT Displayed usual pace to press on instead of lead, posted 3 wide without cover throughout, did share of work on circle, niggled along on turning, run ended at 200 M.
8 8 ALBERTINELLI (CH111) M Nunes -- Began well, took a prominent role 1 out 1 back 2Ls off solid tempo, travelled well in mid-section, moved 3 wide on bend, lacked a turn of foot and just plugged away in straight.
9 11 AMPLE GAINS (CE021) H W Lai B/TT No real early pace and restrained from a wide gate, ended up 3 wide at rear 8Ls or so from speed helped by fast tempo moved 4 wide on bend, made some late headway but not really likely.
10 5 TIME SUPREME (CE012) Z Purton PC2 Flat-footed at start and lost 5 lengths, regathered to race at rear on rails, shifted 2 wide but still 8Ls back at midpoint, improved on bend, passed a few tired runners in straight.
11 9 GLOBAL WIN (CG109) A Delpech B Fast into stride, showed plenty of pace to challenge for lead, kept pace genuine pressurizing leader, right there on turning and took over briefly at 400 M, workload took toll and faded out late.
12 3 GOOD NATURE (CE153) E Saint-Martin B No real pace, ended up at rear 8Ls back on fence, helped by tempo, niggled along to improve on bend, made no progress in run to line.
13 13 INDUSTRIAL MARVEL (CG188) M W Leung -- First to hit ground, took expected role in front however didn't have things own way with pressure from outside horse, kept pace genuine to bend, under siege turning, faded quickly last 300 M.
