8 HORSE WIN WIN (CJ078) A Delpech -- No early pace, settled 8Ls back on rails, suited by an even tempo in front, took short cut on bend, angled out between horses on bend, came with a strong finish digging deep to score narrowly - well clear of 3rd.
12 BODACIOUS (CD170) M W Leung V/TT Away only fairly, settled 7Ls back on rails, moved 2 wide on circle, aided by tempo, switched to outside in straight, let down nicely to hit lead at 200 M but couldn't hold off finish of winner late (5Ls clear of 3rd).
13 GOOD PARTNER (CE221) H W Lai XB Amongst first few to break, ended up in ideal spot 1 out 1 back, right there on turning and looked a chance briefly at 300 M, lacked the finish of first two and was a long way back in 3rd.
1 MARIBEAU (CH213) F Coetzee -- Began only fairly, mustered to race on leaders back, had an even run despite useful first section, in a strong position on bend, held up behind slower horses in straight but not really going well enough to be a factor last 200 M.
7 GOAL KEEPER (CH277) B Prebble V Standard jump, took up a spot behind pace in midfield 3 to 4 Ls from top end, had a good run to bend, had chance in straight but didn't let down as normally would, just holding ground in straight.
3 FAT CHOY FOREVER (CD111) C W Wong -- Began well, assumed usual role in front, set a fair tempo in middle stages, worried by outside horse on bend, beat off challengers at 400 M, unable to find last 200 M and weakened out late.
4 HERE WE GO (CH247) K L Chui B/TT Unable to take a forward spot and drifted back to race 5 to 6Ls back, had cover but did work to bend, angled into clear running but couldn't bridge margin just holding ground last furlong.
6 CIRCUIT HERO (CG304) G Mosse TT1 Out in line, ended up in midfield when unable to go early speed, had a soft run in mid-section, saved ground on bend, stuck to fence in straight but lacked usual finish and just held ground (never comfortbale).
9 LIFELINE RAPIDE (CD204) O Doleuze TT Took time to muster and pressed forward to position 3 wide in midfield, had trail but did share of work covering ground, eased wider turning but didn't have extra gear, just battled away late.
2 FORTUNE WARRIOR (CD096) D Beadman B No pace from outset, raced amongst last few 8Ls back in running line, trailed 3 wide on circle, gave too much start straightening, made some late progress passed tired horses.
11 BE MY SONG (CH272) S K Sit H/TT Out well, worked forward to race outside the leader, didn't relax in mid-section, continued to challenge on turning, found little when asked at 400 M and weakened right out in straight.
14 GO BRITANNIA (CJ084) E Wilson -- Began with purpose, pressed on but unable to slot in, ended up 3 wide without cover 1L away, did share of work to bend, close enough turning but hard run took toll and dropped right out.
5 HAPPY GO LUCKY (CH127) C Soumillon -- Began awkwardly and drifted to tail, ridden along 8 to 9Ls back at rear, helped by early pace, switched 2 wide on circle, still well back turning, and unable to get closer.
