2 11 SIGHT WINNER (CJ049) D Whyte -- Began well, slotted into spot 3Ls back on fence, overraced badly in mid-section, still difficult to settle and steadied on bend, hung in straight and proved difficult to ride, did do best work late closing for an unlucky 2nd.
3 3 HAIL THE STORM (CE125) O Doleuze B Away in line, assumed spot in midfield 1 out 1 back 3Ls away, travelled well despite pace dropping off, lost spot between horses rounding bend, into clear at 350 M, made good progress late to take place.
4 10 FLYING TAMARI (CG151) W M Lai -- First to hit ground, rolled forward to eventually take spot outside leader, had no excuses with leisurely sections, forced 3 wide rounding home bend, tried hard when they sprinted at 400 M, just held ground evenly to make frame.
5 4 FUJI SUNRISE (CD100) B Prebble B No early pace, settled at rear 10Ls back, ended up 6Ls back when pace slowed, took a 3 wide trail on bend, kept improving 3Ls back turning, stuck to task down centre holding ground creditably over concluding stages.
6 8 RICE FIELD (CE134) C K Tong TT Fast into stride, held inside running early before surrendering when pressured, suited when pace slackened, moved 2 wide on circle, challenged at 400 M, there to 200 M when run ended and just knocked up late.
7 6 JADE DRAGONFLY (CE331) Z Purton BO/TT Moderate jump, raced in rear division 9Ls back early, caught up when pace steadied, checked at 600 M, made some limited progress between horses in the straight and never really threatened.
8 1 SUNNY KING (CH105) C W Wong XB/H/TT Began poorly and lost 5Ls, re-gathered to drive up when pace steadied to be 6Ls back on rails, not suited by pace and proved difficult to settle, still rearward and in impossible spot turning, just closed at at same speed.
9 9 CARRIZO CREEK (CE132) Y T Cheng B Out in line, assumed a midfield role racing 6Ls away early, 4Ls back when pace steadied, raced too keenly in mid-section, awkwardly placed at 600 M, unsuited when they sprinted and simply held ground in run to line.
10 7 DORDENMA (CE333) E Wilson XB Ordinary getaway, posted 3 wide in mid-section 5Ls back, did work without cover, made a 4 wide run on bend, couldn't find extra in run home and dropped out last 200 M when hard run took toll.
