4 ABLE ONE (CG108) Z Purton -- Fast away, took up running and set a good pace with pressure from outside horse, kicked through to retain lead by 500 M, dashed sharply at 400 M, held an advantage in run to line to win with ease.
10 MY CHOICE (CC283) Y T Cheng B1 Reasonable jumjp, slotted in to race behind leader, had good trip throughout, tracked leader on bend, lacked pickup when they sprinted but held on nicely late.
9 TIBER (CD155) D Beadman XB/TT Amongst first to hit ground, ended up with ideal spot 1 out 1 back, had nice run to bend despite reasonable tempo, angled out on turning, couldn't match dash of winner but kept giving all the same.
5 JOY AND FUN (CH014) G Boss CP2 Away in line, ended up 3 wide in midfield 4Ls back, had cover to bend, improved 4 wide on turning, made gradual headway to 200 M but just couldn't peg back margin thereafter.
11 SUNNY KING (CH105) W M Lai XB/H/TT Fair to begin, took a position 5Ls back in running line behind midfield, had an even run with pace on, well back turning, made solid progress between horses to be nearest on line.
2 DOWN TOWN (CG054) C K Tong TT Showed expected speed to be prominent early, shaded inside horse throughout in lead, still there on bend, niggled along turning, lacked usual tenacity and weakened quickly, just battled in straight.
6 POCKET MONEY (CE253) F Coetzee B Restrained for cover from a wide alley, raced behind midfield 3 wide with cover 5Ls back, travelled keenly in run, improved wide on turning in, made progress to 300 M before run ended (didn't handle conditions).
13 AMBITIOUS GENERAL (CJ066) M Du Plessis CC-/XB1 Fair to jump, ended up 3Ls back on rails, enjoyed a quiet trip to bend, lacked extra gear in straight and just kept on at same pace in run to line.
1 JOYFUL WINNER (CE045) K T Yeung TT Showed more initiative than usual, raced 4Ls back in midfield, keen in mid-section, 3Ls down but ridden along at 400 M, lacked usual finish and battled in straight. (See Racing Incidents.)
3 EGYPTIAN RA (CE002) O Doleuze -- Out in line, pressed on in search of a prominent spot, raced 3 wide without cover outside leaders, did it tough to bend, soon under pressure and gradually faded out in straight.
7 BULLISH CASH (CH049) G Mosse TT Taken back from an awkward alley raced 5 to 6Ls back in running line, aided by pace, still had job to do turning, struggled in finish making no real impression.
12 FLAMING LAMBORGINI (CE146) H W Lai TT No early pace, settled 7Ls back at rear in running line, helped by pace but faced a task with track condition, still last turning, switched out but only passed tired runners late.
14 SURVEY SURVEY (CH070) S K Sit XB/TT Standard getaway, ended up 7Ls back sharing rear on rails, had pace to suit but conditions against, same margin down turning, struggled to clash and simply battled in run to line.
